Referencing historical textiles that serves as wall pieces, I wanted to create a wall piece using utility materials of duck-cloth and ripstop. Working with machine embroidery, quilting, stuffing, & trapunto, I explored the idea to use utilitarian materials for something that will only serve an aesthetic purpose hanging on a wall.

Finished with a hand-rolled hem and hand stitched onto stretched canvas.
